About the Project

Throughout its history Poland has managed to create a unique set of characteristics describing our nation. Unconventional, out of the box thinkers, dreamers and visionaries. Everything that happened in our past – the struggle, oppression, the fight for freedom forged an exceptional way of dealing with challenges.

We do not back down.

We do not falter.

We do not take no for an answer.

We do not use beaten tracks.

We are determined, hardworking and innovative.

“The Polish way” is to make things happen.

“The Polish Way” is also focused on taking care of our friends. History taught us who we can trust and who we can rely on. On the centenary of regaining Poland’s independence we celebrate together with our closest allies.

We want to showcase the translation of our nation’s characteristics into the economic success our country has enjoyed within the last years and present how we take care of our business partners.

We want to present how we make things done – how failure is not an option – how CAN has become our main driver.

PZU Group as one of the biggest companies in Poland and one of the biggest financial groups in Europe is part of this narrative. This endeavor will project a whole new perspective on our country and our PZU Group as one of the biggest companies in Poland and one of the biggest financial groups in Europe is part of this narrative. BCG SEDA (Sustainable Economic Development Assessment) is a new way to extend insight on countries’ development beyond pure economy and to get insights into well-being. SEDA reveals that countries can make the overall welfare of citizens the top priority while promoting sustainable and robust economic growth. The tool, launched in 2012, is designed to provide insight into the relative well-being of a country’s citizens and how effectively a country converts wealth, as measured by income levels, into well-being.

  • Over the last decade, Poland improved in most dimensions, most notably in infrastructure, employment, environment and income
  • Performs better in the dimensions of economic stability, employment and education
  • Has made strong relative progress across most dimensions, particularly in employment
  • Poland is the 1st country worldwide in terms of improving the highest number of SEDA indicators
