Good practices of listed companies

A set of corporate governance rules and rules of conduct that affect the relations of listed companies with their market environment.

They are an important element in building the competitive position of these companies and contribute significantly to strengthening the attractiveness of the Polish capital market. The rules of the Best Practices for Companies Listed on the WSE 2021 apply to issuers of shares admitted to trading on the WSE regulated market.

Canon of good financial market practice

A set of 16 rules that are universal across the financial market. The collection presents the basic values and ethical ideals that guide financial entities - particularly in their relations with clients - but at the same time gives industry organisations the freedom to develop detailed rules specific to individual market sectors. The document is the result of a collaboration of thirty umbrella organisations:

  • entities that offer financial products and services,
  • organisations and institutions that represent clients' interests,
  • other market institutions,

with the participation of experts from the academic community.

Corporate governance rules for financial institutions

A set of rules that define the internal and external relationships of supervised institutions, including:

  • relations with shareholders and clients,
  • their organisation,
  • functioning of internal governance and key internal systems and functions, as well as statutory bodies and their interaction.

The Polish Financial Supervision Authority considers that the Corporate Governance Rules should:

  • be adopted by supervised institutions,
  • become an important policy document in their strategic corporate policy, and
  • influence the development of appropriate rules of conduct for supervised institutions.

Rules of good insurance practices

This document defines the rules of corporate social responsibility in the conduct of insurance companies in their relations with clients, insurance intermediaries, the supervisory authority and the Financial Ombudsman, the media, as well as in the public trading of securities.

Through the application of the Rules of Good Insurance Practice, insurance undertakings carry out systematic activities to develop insurance awareness in the society.

A set of rules that clarifies the expectations of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority regarding the manner of advertising services by and for insurance companies.

The main purpose of developing this document is to ensure the proper functioning of the financial market and its transparency, to build trust in the financial market, and to protect the interests of participants in this market, including the clients of insurance companies.
